USART:ATMEGA8535

I am doing ECE, and i do my project in ATMEGA 8535,in my projectwe have to interface the GSM modem in serially, I dont know to interface. please help me.

 the internal structure of usart of atmega8535 is quite similar to atmega16 you can prefer the following links:
