Hi, I’m trying to build a solar charge controller circuit. A few questions I want to ask :

    – when choosing solar cells, is it important to know the open circuit voltage and short circuit current? How do i relate them to the output voltage i want to produce from the solar cells?

    – In order to charge the rechargeable batteries, volts produced by the solar cells must be bigger than those of the rechargeable batteries?

Help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
