I hav a sim 300 gsm modem , it works when a sim is inserted and dial to that number. But i got problem in serial communication with the device.
i am using hyper terminal to communicate but i cant. I have aonther modem and i can communicate to that. I also tried connecting direct to the Rx and Tx pins not via RS232 but i cant.
can i fix the problem? some one plz help…Hi Sharon,

Please don’t do like that, the 12V logic levels from PC could damage your device. I think there must be some hardware issues with that board.
Suggest you to do a continuity check on the incoming and outgoing connections of MAX232 IC in the borad. Try replacing the IC also if possible
