Servo or stepper motor which is suitable for infusion pump using peristaltic pump

hi guyz..

 i am final year student of Biomedical Enginerring ..my final year project is infusion pump…m little bit confuse about the slection of motor 

in my project.. i want some precious comments from u ppl ..please tell me that which motor is best for infusion pump?? 

 my requirments are low RPM,high precision,feedback(can use encoder),safe,reliable, high torque in low RPM ..

I suggest stepper motor since you can use simple program and circuit for precision control. With stepper motor the feedback may not be necessary since you know how much the motor will turn when your program do each step.
