serial transmission of data from sensors

hi….i am working on a project of heart rate monitor…my question is how to send the signal (output) wirelessly from sensors .

the concept is " a fingertip is placed on sensors. then the sensor's data has to transmit wirelss…..and that has to receive at receiver and the output is connected to 8051 and the heart rate is shown on LCD"

kindly plzz…tell me how to send data wireless from sensors

u can use Zigbee or bluetooth pair at Tx and Rx side
