Could you please any body explain how to work RS232 with real time example?

I mean with programatical explanation because we are planing to do the project in my education.

MAX232 is simple level converter chip. it converts TTL/CMOS level signals into RS232 level and vice versa. just one type input other type output thats all. can be used in communicaiton between PC/laptop and digital programmable devices like micro processor or micro controller. the digital devices have built in UART or USART with two Rx and Tx pins. that they use to transmit and receive data
