Hello, I am working on a project of the school in which I should interface the RFID reader RC522 with an 8051 specifically AT89C51 of Atmel.
Does anyone have a connection idea please.
    Cordially.

    Hi Alain

RC522 support three modes of serial communication: SPI, USART, I2C. You can use any one of them, as 8051s can handle all these three.

    Check out this datasheet: http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/MFRC522.pdf

You will find the related content on page number 9-23.

    Good luck :)

    Hi,

RFID rc522 can be interfaced through SPI protocol only. But 8051 does not support SPI protocal. For that you can try it with SPI to serial converter but efficiency may reduce. if not you can try with other rfid modules like (EM18) that can be interfaced with 8051.
