rc = -1 error

I have got USBTinyISP and a BRICS programmer kit.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When I am burning the programme it is saying

initilization failed,  rc= -1

 

How can my connections be worng because the board is already soldered. It is a brand new board. 

I have got Windows 8 so is this creating a problem.

I solved the problem , it was due to the jumper was missing.
