    Am looking for a simple 555 timer circuit that output will delay when power is applied to timer, then change states ( go high) when it times out. thank you

    This type of circuit is called Monoshot or monostable mutivibrator. You will get lot of help by googling it like ‘monoshot using 555’ or ‘monostable using 555’
