Microcontroller › 8051 › Object counting on conveyor system
Hello guys
I am trying to count the no of object moving in a conveyor belt and displaying it in a LCD.
I prefer to use IR sensor for this purpose.
But I would like to know wether i need to used ADC for this interfacing with micro controller.
If possible can any help me out a logic on how to write a program to count the object in conveyor system and it need to get updated every time in LCD display.
Thanks in advance
better you use TSOP.. IR will not provide you good range. which IR sensor you using?
even in the case of ir you don’t need adc just use the op-amp as a comparator and convert you analog varaition into digital one..
let me know if any furtur help is required
nice project
all the bst..
your another option is use LDR .. it is also cheap solution..
but in LDR again the rang issue comes in the picture
what exactly you wanted to count?
