LPC2148

i am using LPC2148 board with 16*2 LCD

my code is working in protius simulator but not on hardware

on hardware the LCD is just showing filled blocks on first row 

then bothing happening so what to check in the hardware…

like is there any requirment to disable JTAG as in case of ATmega16 microcontroller

please help me with it…

i checked all connections every thing is perfect

does the LCD shows message in proteus simulation?

have u set up all the connections as per your hardware board connection like Rs, RW, En D0-D7

check for brightness control pot also
