Is learning 8051 needed to learn PIC 16F

Hey Guys,

i am planning to do a course on the PIC 16F series of microcontrollers. Is it needed to know about 8051 series to proceed for this course.

not needed..

go with the PIC.. if you learn to program PIC then learning 8051 is so much easy..
