    Hello.

I purchased the 8051.  I’d like to get started. How do I proram the 8051? I’d like to use C, C++, and or Java?  Will any compiler do?

    thanks in advance,

    Joseph

    Hi, J.

I recommend you use the Keil uVision 4, it’s a very useful software for begginer programmers like us. Personally, I’ve just used Assembler to program in my 89C51, but that’s because our teacher wants us to program in assembler, you can use both Assembler and C in uVision with no problem.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the reply.  Specifically, I have the AT89C51.  Would the reponse still apply, Keil?

Also, what is the best and easiest method to get the code into the MCU?

    thanks,

    Joseph
