    I m doing a project on interfacing GPS with P89V51RD2,,, Its displaying some garbage value so i need HELP with the code,, can anyone help with it PLEASE……….

    have you checked your gps module with the hyperterminal? Have you checked your serial to ttl converter? Please share the part number of your module and also a bit more details about the project so that some one could help you out.

    Hi Satish,

     

    Suggest you to set the baud rate of microontroller to 4800, if the same problem occours connect the GPS module to PC( through max232) with 4800 baud rate and check whether the GPS is sending meaningful data on hyperterminal.

    Hi Satish,

                     You might have set the baud rate at 9600, and theoritically it is the baud rate with which we can get minimum possible error. But it depends on the device too. So if you are getting errors in that frequency, try changing the baud rate as suggested by Amrith.
