Are you planning to interface ready made energy meter to micro controller. If yes, then you got to know what are the outputs available at energy meter for communication.

i want to interface electronics energy meter not electromagnetics energy meter(movable disc type).which are easily available in the market.

To get the readings from energymeter, it will have some kind of output, Find the communication output available on energymeter to interface with microcontroller.

i want to interface energy meter with 8052.my energy meter is electronics type which blink the led.can i get pulse from energy meter through optocoupler.please help me

yeah u can easily connnect the energy meter wth the 8052 ,,u just need the pulse output …and u can use optocoupler to insolate the devices ..and can get the pulse to 8052.
