Microcontroller › AVR › Circuit for switching single phase AC motor in between two supplies.
I want to switch a single phase AC motor ON/OFF only not controlling its speed. I have two AC single phase supplies both 220V. I will write a program through which I will run motor on one supply for 1 month or so and next month on another supply. I am having confusion of circuit for connecting these two supplies, avr microcontroller and AC motor. Please provide me with any circuit or any help will be appreciated. Motor will run only for 1-2 hours per day not continously.
Hi Muhammad
You can make use of contactors for doing such a task. They are quite similar to relays in functioning but they can handle much greater current values.
