In the project – how to transmit Gps data from Arduino using xbee -what is the exact characteristics of USB to TTL convertor?

USB to TTL converter is used to establish a communication between the microcontroller (with UART interface) and the computer having the USB interface. This is a replacement from rs232 port of the computer. The feature of the USB to TTL converter module varies to different manufacturer. You can refer to particular product data sheet for more details.
