Microcontroller › Arduino › building circuits with sensors
Hi,
I am trying to build a simple circuit consisting of an Arduino Uno, SME312dqd banner sensor, and can't quite figure out how to wire it. The sensor needs 24v to work and the Arduino can only handle 5v so I have set a pot to 3.8kohms and followed it up with a 1kohm resistor to cut my voltage down to 5v. Only thing is I'm really a newbie at physically building circuits like this and I am not sure how to wire all of it togehter. I know how the wire the v divider but hooking that up to the rest is where I am stuck. This is my first time using a fiber optic sensor and the connections will not fit in my bread board so I am not really sure how to do that either. Also, Haven't been able to find anything online that deals with five wire sensors and I am totally stressing on this one. Can you help me out please.
Hi,
Use seperate Power supplies for the sensor and Arduino. Use Buck converters to reduce the voltage using voltage divider will leadds to wastage of power.
