hi guyz, i m working on my third year project based on rfid and referring the circuit, code and components from engineer's garage

    http://www.engineersgarage.com/microcontroller/8051projects/interface-rfid-AT89C51-circuit

      I  have the following querries

    1. apart from the 'components' given in the list, i find another 8 pin ic connected to the circuit seen at thr right side of 89c51 given in the picture/video. Does anyone have any idea regarding what that ic is and what is it used for????

    2. Can i use 89s52 in place of 89c51 ????since the burner in my college does not support '89c51'.

    thnx……..
