Electronics › Electronics › 8085 micro controller
8085 microcontroller uses the pins labelled AD and A for address bits. The pin labelled A are only for addressing while AD pins are used for both addressing (A) and data (D), hence AD. How many memory locations is the 8085 able to address and therefore, what size of binary decoder would you use between the 8085 and the external memory being addressed (decoder size should be specified in terms of number of input lines-to-number of output lines, Example 3 linas-to-8 line decoder
8085 has 16 addres lines so it can address 216 = 65645 = 64 KB memory
for more details you have to refer good articles on memory interfacing with 8085 or read the topics from 8085 micro processor books
