Hi all,

i have 2 question

i am using sim900 with At commands

one question is

does the AT+CSQ effects the GSM/GPRS signal or only the network strength signal?

second question

when i use AT+CGREG sometimes i get answer of AT+CGREG 0.0 which means that i cant get a GSM signal.

But if i use instead using AT+CGREG i use AT+CGATT and then i get A gprs and it works fine ,

is there any difference ?

Hi,

AT+CSQ will give the signal strength and it will affect it.

AT+CGREG is to register the GPRS service, some carriers don't need registration for using GPRS service, that's y AT+CGATT works fine.
