What EngineersGarage do is create a few basic experiments on microcontrollers, explain them in detail and help others to build more interesting stuffs based on them. In this website there are lot of examples of RF interfacing and GSM interfacing on different microcontrollers like 8051, PIC, AVR and ARDUINO boards. If you are not that used to microcontroller projects, I suggest to go for Arduino based projects.

Refere them, Try out yourself and you will get an idea how to proceed with your project.
