You should clearly mention what you want?? mention the language in which you want code(Embedded C or Assembly) and for which microcontroller you need the code and on which cross compiler you are working.
himanshu guptaParticipantI think IR would not be the best option as it works in line of sight…. but it is nice option thankyou for the post…
himanshu guptaParticipantIn simple language.
Pull up and pull Down resistors are needed to drop down the floating condition because sometimes when switches are connected to devices they may give floating state to device when they are in open loop. But devices sometime says i only accept one or zero so please pass me with those two things only so to lower down that problems we use pull up and pull down.wysiwyg_imageupload:12192:wysiwyg_imageupload:12193:
himanshu guptaParticipantyou can interface various sensor and measures remotely using your robot.

himanshu guptaParticipantIf you want home automation without microcontroller you can simply on and off timely your home appliances only.
himanshu guptaParticipantAccording to me the best simplest and cheapest way to design the remote control celling fan will required you to have few things:-
(i)RF transmitter and receiver module
(ii)HT-12D and HT-12 E I.C
(iii)Relay
You can have a remote which will be having a RF transmitter, you can pick the possible available RF module near by you, i preffer to use 434Mhz RF transmitter and at receiving side you need to have a RF receiver of same frequency and a relay connected to output data bits of decoder HT-12 D. And relay output is connected to ceiling fan.just try it it will work
