I build normal hobby electronics circuit. Now as computer science student I know C language and I want to implement that knowledge in electronics .

I don’t know which product to buy for experiment.
Mainly at the beginning the following experiment I want to do :
    i) ‘Hello World’ in LCD screen
    ii) measure the temperature
iii) Build digital clock (seven segment display or LCD )
    iv) Blink LED light
    etc.
I visit the following sites for buy :
    http://tenettech.com/
    http://www.simplelabs.co.in/
    http://www.rhydolabz.com/
    http://9circuits.com/products/
    http://www.onlinetps.com/
    http://www.embeddedmarket.com/

but i am confused. Because there are lot of product in different name and different price .
So, please help me which one I should buy for this.
    ( AVR or Arduino ).

    Thanks in advance..

    Hi Sumanta

My suggestion would be to go for any arduino board. Arduino is a really great platform for bigenners to step into the embedded world. It has many perks which make it outstand from any other microcontroller board.

arduino is for rapid prototyping development and the best choice for hobbyists. but if you want to learn logic development, programming and troubleshooting then go for AVR ATMega micro controllers with embedded C programming
