what is the difference between DB9 male and DB9 female connector ?….
-Thanks
Both are same. Female connectors are usually found in devices, like PC, GSM module etc, while male connectors usually found with cables, used to connect two devices with female connectors. Both have same pinouts
Yes you are absolutely correct, male connectors are like plug and usually has a solid pin for a center conductor whereas female connector are like jack and has a center conductor with a hole. Hole is provided to accept the male pin.
DTE(data termnal equipment ) contain male (pin ) placed in any of the devicesits a kind of host and that devices is used to connect with DCE(data communication equipment) contain female (holes) its a kind of target
DB-9 male and DB-9 female are exactly opposite to each other. Female connectors are usually used in devices. For better working use the opposite connector to take the output. Male contains pins and female have holes in it.
