I'm looking to trigger off MOSFETs with a sequencer circuit will a MOSFET discharge a large cap ? Without hurting it ? If I use a large value resistor to slow down the discharge that might help but I would lose the power right ? Or do I have to just hunt and peck down to damage ?. Jim out think you
mosfet must be switched off using a active way using a mosfet driver or a simple transistor other wise when a gate voltage reduces slowly from 10 v to 4 volt or up to gate forward minimum volt the internal resistor of the mosfet will start increasing from few milli ohms meg ohm which makes your mosfets power disipation to a huge value and failure of mosfet will occure.
