Microcontroller › 8051 › unable to differ between pwm and continious input through 74HC165 for dotmatrix display
Respected collegues,
I have been working on new project recently, Where my project is basically of elevator field where I have to display the arrows and digits in dotMatrix display.
I am building the dotmatrix display, where I get the input through the 74hc165.
signals are A,B,C,D,E,F&G of 7segment and up & Down arrow.
the arrow input is sometime pulsating and some times continious.
when signal is pulsating the arrow must scrol when its continious the arrow must be standby,. my hardware is ready and i need to sense the Pulsating output with software code..
Reading of 7-Seg is successfull, but unable to differ the arrow signals is it PWM or Continious.
Although My signals of Arrow are of PWM with 60ms ON and OFF cycle when lift moves and continious ON is when lift is about the reach the destined floor.
please help
I am stuck in mid of my project, please help me to compete it successfully
I assume it is not a PWM signal. It may me acting as a pulse for shifting the LEDs in the dot matrix to create a scrolling effect. Imagine a shift register to create a scrolling effect.
