    do u want to use it to sense water level inside tank?

    yes you are right.I read somewhere that ultrasonic sensors are widely used for detecting water level.

    yes, you can use, but suggest use waterproof ultrasonic sensor, if need ultrasonic sensor, please come to us or visit http://www.longsun-acoustic.com where you can check many type of ultrasonic sensor

    if your using for water level , yes you can proceed but if your trying to detect another liquids like fuel in fuel containers, ofcours you may proceed with some pricautions.
