Hello, I have transmitter IR Led, and tsop sm0038 receiver.
When i provide ground and vcc to tsop, it shows 5v at the output(normal).
But when my ir transmitter is faced towards tsop, the output remains high.
Can anyone help to me how to use it without 555?
I have to use ir led at one point and tsop at other point..
Hi,
The IR should pulsate at some specified frequency so that the tsop can detect.

usually such sensors works at frequencies 34KHz to 40 KHz
you can get idea from the number also like in your case it will be 38 KHz.
you can not use this sensor without IC555.
if you want be it simpler use IR LED and photo diode pair
