Hi,
I would like some ideas on a project I am planning for my higher national diploma in electrical/electroinic engineering. I would like to control a high directivity wifi antenna to point it where it has maximum signal gain automatically whenever I connect to a new ap. I wil use an 8051 develpment board as a micro controller. I also own a wrt54gs router with ddwrt firmware and a fonera router bought as a wifi pineapple with wrtX (open wrt) already installed which i can use to maybe recieve some feedback of the RSSI. I plan to use the pan and tilt mechanism of a rotating wireless webcam as I am not given credit for mechanical work. I am relatively new to microcontrolers so any help or some good links where I can start from are much appreciated.
thanks
