    Hey All!!

New member here.. I have been looking at the RFID Toll PLaza by Mr. Himanshu Choudhary here:

    http://www.engineersgarage.com/microcontroller/8051projects/simple-toll-plaza-rfid-interface-at89c51-circuit

    A few questions:

    (1) I plan on adding a motor as well, preferably DC wih l293d… I need to know which pins would be ideal for connection without conflicting with other components.

    (2) What keypad will go well with the setup. e.g generic keypad or specific brand?

    Best Regards,

    Hi

In this project, majorly PORT0 and PORT1 of microcontroller are being used. For connecting a DC motor via L293D cip you can make use of either PORT2 or PORT3 or you can also amke use of emaining pins of PORT1, as you require only two pins to control motor.

Secondly, you don't require a brand as such for a keypad; a normal 4X4 keypad would work fine. You can either build one or purchase it. Here's a link to buy it online:
