Electronics › Electronics › solid-state on/off control of 12V circuit using 6V circuit
I'm wanting to turn a 12Vdc circuit (drives LED strip lights) on and off when an existing 6Vdc circuit is energized/deenergized, but not use a coil relay if possible. I'm looking for a solid-state solution.
I have a 12V source for powering the LED's (commercially-bought item that needs 12V to operate), but I need it to follow (on/off) the existing 6V control circuit.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Use TIP122 or any other transistors according to your current flowing in you 12v circuit.
