Electronics › Electronics › Single Phase 1/4HP AC Motor Speed Control
I would like to control a Speed of an AC Motor by using ARM7 LPC 2129 Microcontroller.
For this reason i need to design a Hardware which is compatiable for PWM (PID CONCEPT) with low cost hardwares like TRIAC, THYRISTOR. HELP ME.
Hello Vignesh
there are two ways that you can vary speed of AC motor
1) Variable Frequency Variable Voltage – used in VFD – variable frequency drives
2) Phase angle control – used in domestic fan regulators
for 1st option, you can get PWM chips or controller readily available. just search for it on google.
for second option refer my following article

it gives you much better idea
