RTC programming,

Hello ,

  

    I had learned all stuff about RTC programming but i am just stuck about the action on the AS, DS , R/W and i dont what to do with these pins to set and receive time … i am making a digital clock and my work is interrupted by those pins.. so can any body please give me  a example to 

       – turning on oscillator 

       – setting time mode

       – setting the time 12:00

       – getting updated time

 

i had read RTC part from muhamad ali mazidi book but it doesnt include any action on that pins.

please provide code so that i can go further.
