selected idea is very good ,, if you nwant to design entire design , !st you should know about agriculture seeding procedure , and then plan suitable design, sketch it, with apropriate dimensions, after paper work you can proceed with cicuit design and selection of microcontroller, and selection of motors, and remain thing. if you desire strongly you may complete better design . good luck.
