can we design robotic arm using dc geared motor ? or should I use servo moter for it ?

Use a servo motor if you need high precision, otherwise you can use a dc motor.

Sir I have understood/misunderstood that servo motors can move/rotate through certain degrees only(0,90 or 180 degree
then how can we achieve pricision from servos,if we want to rotate the motor for angles other than 0,90,180 degress?
