rf serial data transmission using 89s52 with HT12E and HT12D

Hi all,

I am trying to transmit a data i.e, a character between two microcontrollers(89s52) using RF, encoder and decoder. Is it possible to transmit a data between 2 MCU using encoder and decoder. I have tried without encoder and decoder its working, but with encoder and decoder its not working. Please help me to find solution for this.

Encoder and decoder is for transmitting digital values without the use of microcontroller. Serial character data can be transmitted only by the microcontroller.

if you have transmitted without encoder decoder then why you need to add encoder/decoder?
