how to program a gsm module? i also wanted to know whether programming is of same procedure for all types of gsm module?

A microcontroller can communicate with any kind of GSM module using standard set of commands called AT commands. Learn the basic AT commands for call or sms and try to send the same using the microcontroller to the GSM module.
