you have to select cross compiler based on which micro controller you are working

for example

8051 and ARM – KEIL- IDE

PIC – mikroPIC, MPLAB

MSP430 – code composer studio

AVR – AVR studio

in all these cross compiler tools you can do coding of micro controller in embedded C language
