    hello people,

    I am trying to make a score board with 18 Seven Segments. I am planning to use a PIC microcontroller.

    But I have no idea how I am gonna connect all Segments and switches to one or two PICs.

    I would really appreciate if anyone of you likes to share how to connect them.

    u need 26 output lines to connnect 18, 7-segments. i think it can be done with single 40 pin micro

    You can use the Multiplexing Technique for reducing the i/o pins……

    you can do this using  Multiplexing techniique.

    Go to proteus

     

    type

    7-seg-mpx8-cc-blue

    pic

     

    and use it according to ur requirement
