Microcontroller › 8051 › on 8051 crystal frequency and relation between internal oscillator of the controller external frequency.
why we are using only 11.0592MHZ by only crystal oscillator, why not other oscillators?and why we are using external oscillators,in 8051 itself consists internal oscillators give reasons?
Hi,
Sounds like you a question from an exam.
That particular frequecy can give 9600 baud rate which will give theoritically 0% error.
External crystak oscillators are supposed to be more reliable. In most of the designs the internal oscillator is used as a back up only whenever the external oscillator fails.
