Not able to change the ADC channel of atmega16..

Hello everyone…

I want to use 2 channels of atmega16 as ADC…

Initially i am selecting channel 1 that is pin no.39 of atmega16 by setting mux1 of ADMUX register but still the value is getting displayed only if I give input to pin 40 that is ADC channel 0…

I have tried many ways but still ADC channel 0 is getting selected all the time…plz help…!!!

after convertering the analog value from first channel initialize the ADC again then then use the second channel….

let me know if you have any furthur query
