I want 5 several connection of dc power supply which all should have differrent ground not connected to source ground initiated from a single dc battery. I need 9V, 9V, 9V, 9V,18V accordingly in these connections. I m not actually sure about grounds but whenever the grounds are coinciding my circuit isn’t working properly.  How could i solve this problem? What should be the battery’s rating? What type of battery will be lightest? How would voltage remain constant for a time being? How could i increase battery’s longitivity? Plz help me.

    Hi Rezaul,

I think what Subhramanian suggested is the better option. Use a battery of more than 18V, say a 24V batter and then derive all these voltages. You can use 7818 and 7809 regulator ICs to get 18V and 9V respectievely.
