    Hello Everyone,

I am a B.tech. final year student and trying to make a project named “Body Sensor”

First let me explain you my project details so that you can clearly help with my doubts.

Suppose there is a coal mining tunnel where lots of labourers work togather. Suddenly due to a wrong stroke of someone or by a natural cause the tunnel gets demolished at a small part and some workers get pressed in the heavy building blocks.

Now, my idea is to detect those peoples’ bodies whether dead or alive by sensing their bodies in the huge pile of rocks and concrete (There will be a small transmitter on their wrist like a watch so that we can detect them).

I do programming on 8051. My questions are…

    1. What type of sensor and transmitter should i use.

    2. There will be many workers at a time, the sensor should be intelligent enough to sense the strength of the signal transmitted from a particular worker’s transmitter so that we can get a proper direction.

    3. Every worker will have a unique frequency transmitting so that we can recognize the person by receiving the signal.

These are my prime doubts. Please help me with the selection of sensors and the “signal strength” thing.

Please reply only if you can help be seriously, i don’t want mere guesses. And you can be highly technical while replying. I’m not a newcomer, i can understand things quite good.

    Thank you in ADVANCE !!
