sir i am working on serial coomunication b/w 8051 an PC… i am using 16Mhz crystal instead of 11.0592Mhz… i am receiving data but its not faithfull every time and some some i doesn’t even receive the data.. what could be the reson

your micro controller is not able to syncronize with the you PC

It depends on the baud rate configuration of Hyper terminal and Microcontroller.Baud rate should be same for proper serial communication.
