My LCD isnt working properly

Could anyone suggest me any method to know if an LCD is a 16×1 or 16×2??

The product I’m using is “JHD161A”

Hi Jasper,

Just look at the screen, if you can see two rows of pixels then it is 16*2. Or just take a look at the back of the LCD, if you can see two large black colored ICs then it is 16*2, otherwise 16*1.
