melody bell circuit

I built the melody bell circuit using um66 – the circuit is working perfectly fine –

but if i press the bell buton for a bit longer – my transistor blows –

What can be the reason – how to solve this problem?

Can you please give some information about circuit connection of transistor that may help others to help you

actually it should not happen but if input (base) current exceeds recommanded limit then transistor blows out. use higher value resistor in base l
