LCD programming

What are the commands to be used in programming a display for a LCD? With the use of MPLAB. Can you give some sample codes using mplab and assembling language, if possible.

                fallow ” pic microcontroller by Mazidi ”  it will help not only for LCD but many other  

                programming also. It is in assembly and  c  both  language using MP-Lab.it is avalable on net free

                here i m not getting any option to attach file other wise i attached book.

                but if u like ,i wanna suggest u that use micro-c compiler for PIC series it is in c language n easy.
