LCD interface

I am doing project on digital thermometer ( http://www.engineersgarage.com/microcontroller/8051projects/celsius-fahrenheit-scale-thermometer-AT89C51-circuit ) from your site. There was an error in program as well as in circuit. But i made the correction using the simulator PROTEUS. And the circuit working is working properly on the simulator. But when i made the circuit on the Bread Board, there is nothing shown on the the LCD(JHD 162A). I have checked the values of the microcontroller and it shows the correct voltage on that.

does ur LCD work in proteus simulation?

if yes – means certainly problems in connections

if no – means problem in program

does connect potentiometer with LCD for set contrast of LCD?if no then connect potentiometer with LCD and set contrast of LCD.
