September 8, 2012 at 3:03 pm #8544chandrasekharParticipantthe component used between 18 & 19 pin is crystal oscillator of 11.0592MHZ
September 8, 2012 at 3:12 pm #8545chandrasekharParticipantTHE COMPONENTS USED IN THE LCD BASED ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINE ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1.microcontroller
2.10k resistor
3.capacitors-10microfarad(5),33pf(2)
4.crystal oscillator(11.0592MHZ)
5.16X2 LCD
6.SWITCHES (-1 FOR RESET SWITCH,4 SWITCHES FOR P1,P2,P3,P4,AND 3 SWITCHES FOR START,STOP,RESET.
7.DB9 CONNECTOR IS USED FOR SERIAL PORT

November 2, 2012 at 1:50 pm #8712AnjaniParticipantHii,actually we have made the hardware but only backlight of lcd is glowing nothing else is displayed….what may be the problem?
and is variable resistor’s one point connected to ground or between resistor and capacitor?reply asap….
November 6, 2012 at 12:18 pm #8724AkshayParticipantrespected sir,
my lcd shows just blank boxes on the first row. please help asap
thank youNovember 26, 2012 at 4:32 pm #8795AJISH ALFREDParticipantHi Akshay,
Your LCD not initialized. Suggest you to check you hardware connections.
November 26, 2012 at 4:38 pm #8796AJISH ALFREDParticipantHi Anjani,
You can see a blank LCD, right? Your LCD is initialized and it happens only if your circuit connections with the LCD is correct. The variable resistors’s connection shown in the circuit digram is correct, you can adjust the variable resistor for the contrast of the display.

September 12, 2013 at 9:59 am #10439MableParticipantIn the modern times, cell phones have become an essential part of our life. You will be out of fashion if you have no cell phone. One hand, you can send massages and make phones to your friends or your colleagues with phones at any time in any places. On the other hand, we will enjoy our life with it, such as listening to music, playing games, taking photos, recording a vedio, suffering the internet, etc. But more and more people are using cell phones at the expense of public interest. They talk aloud over the cell phones, the endless ringtones sounded everywhere. How to cope with the noises of cell phones in public has drawn public attentions in many places of the world. Do we have to force ourselves to listen to the noise generated by cell phones? Of course not, cell phone signal jammer is a useful tool for us to deal with the noise pollution.I have bought one for my convenient life, so if you have the same problem with me, you can come to get one. You will find the cool of it.
